You will find yourself in one of the most scenic and popular spots in the world – surrounded by opportunity, adventure and breathtaking scenery. You simply have to step out and check it all out. When you have completed your project and feel like ending your holiday with the trip of a lifetime, we will help you to explore, take a relaxing break or spike your adrenaline needs.


For the active and adventurous Cable Waterski: Waterskiing, slalom, wakeboard, diving – qualified instructors are available. For additional recreation Mini-Golf and Volleyball are also offered. Horseback Riding: Enjoy fantastic horseback rides along the edge of the beautiful Vergelegen wine estate. Stop at the look-out point and enjoy the views over False Bay. Full-moon rides are also available. Quad Biking: Quad biking through the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve or through a wine estate. Surfing: On your doorstep are Strand and Gordon’s Bay beaches, with great waves rolling in for you. Hiking: Table Mountain, Helderberg Nature Reserve, Crystal Pools or Boland Hiking Trail are just a few of the spectacular trails in the Western Cape.

Shark Cage Diving, Paragliding, Skydiving, Helicopter Flips, Ballooning and much more – there are plenty of awesome adventures just waiting to happen.


Adventurous, but not so energetic Somerset Mall: Shop till you drop, watch the latest movies or simply hang out at one of the many restaurants and coffee shops. Sunset Concerts: at Helderberg Nature Reserve every Sunday evening during summer. Bring a picnic and mellow out before the beginning of another hectic week. Vergelegen Estate: has hosted several spectacular outdoor concerts, including Starlight Classics, Celine Dion, and the “Carols by Candlelight”; the latter is hosted annually in aid of hospice. Strand Beach: a swimmer’s paradise, ideal for bodysurfing and boogie boarding or simply for lazing on the sun-drenched beach. The beach is known as one of the best and safest bathing areas in the country. Sothey’s Vines: is the weekend destination for arts & crafts. There's the Country Craft Market, Somerset West's original Arts and Craft market; Art in the Park, an art exhibition presented by local artists accompanied by great food and music or the Veldwinkel selling local arts & crafts Whale watching: between May and December you’re in the perfect spot for whale-watching. Monkey Town Primate Sanctuary: is home to over 230 individual primates, with 27 different species in total. The primates roam free while you view them from an enclosed walkway snaking through the park.

Towns and Villages in your vicinity Cape Town: Most of the projects are based within a 50km radius of Cape Town. You are therefore within easy reach of Table Mountain, Robben Island, the V&A Waterfront, District Six Museum - to name but a few of the more well-known attractions. Gordon’s Bay: A small, picturesque seaside town nestled at the foot of the Hottentots Holland Mountains at the eastern end of False Bay. The beachfront promenade is lined with popular fish restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. From the old harbour, one can take boat trips or do deep sea fishing trips in False Bay. Visitors can browse around the curio and gift shops dotted along the beachfront for unusual crafts. Somerset West: Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg, the town lies 6km inland from the False Bay coastline and the resort towns of Strand and Gordon’s Bay. It is just is 20km from Stellenbosch and its wine route, a mere 35 minutes' drive to Paarl, Wellington and Franschhoek and forms an integral part of the Winelands Region. Strand: Strand was founded in 1714 and established itself as a holiday and fishing resort some 200 years ago. Strand's main attraction is "the strand" - 5 kilometres of beautiful, white, sandy beach lapped by the warm waters of False Bay with great views of the Cape Peninsula. Rooi-els and Pringle Bay: Small seaside villages with great beaches and various places for light lunches Betty’s Bay: Home to one of the only two Jackass Penguin Colonies. For hiking friends there’s the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden, The Leopard’s Gorge Trail or a hike up to the Disakloof Waterfall. Silversands dune gives you the opportunity to try your hand at sandboarding. The Palmiet River offers white water rafting, tubing and canoeing. Kleinmond: A seaside resort, very urbanized and providing most amenities. Be sure to visit the new harbour area where you can buy honey, dried fynbos flowers, arts & crafts or just sit down and relax with a cappuccino and black forest cheesecake. Hermanus: Home of whale watching with unparalleled scenic beauty, a modern infrastructure, upmarket shops and endless adventure options
