Build new structures such as crèches or churches from the ground up or get involved in repairing, maintaining, painting, fencing – the need for assistance is limitless and always in demand. Building experience is not necessary, but specific skills are always welcome.

Be prepared to get involved in a variety of tasks!

Assistance is not limited to the building and maintenance of physical structures, but includes implementing gardens (especially vegetable gardens), landscaping, planting and watering. Sustainable vegetable gardens are playing an increasingly important role in the core survival of projects and communities by providing nourishing, diverse diets and alleviating financial burden. Your willingness to prepare soil for vegetable cultivation, your assistance in growing vegetable and your ability to teach the community about cultivation are the skills needed.

Do your skills include the implementation of water saving and recycling structures? Many projects have under-utilised dams, ponds and streams – and assistance in creating, providing or maintaining water efficient or effective systems is always in demand.
